Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents named her Winona for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from an ethnically Jewish origin. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California, when she was just seven years old. They lived in a place without electric power. Ryder became an avid read because they had no TV. In 1983 when she was twelve, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In 1986 she was offered her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her bullying would be changed. However, it didn't come to pass. However, she was determined to pursue her goals. Her breakthrough was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was a star in various films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
